10/29- Join in for the Candlelight Vigil walk! This annual vigil starts at the bottom of Church Street in front of City Hall at 6:00 pm. With Women Helping Battered Women, survivors and other community members hold a candle lighting ceremony to honor those who have lost their lives because of Domestic Violence. With candles in hand, participants then walk silently up Church Street to the Unitarian Universalist Church where those affected by domestic abuse have an opportunity to share their stories in a healing space. 10/21-10/25 – Table with VOX in the Davis Center outside of the Rosa Parks Room. There will be Women Helping Battered Women literature and a bin for their coat drive for WHBH. Stay tuned for a Doodle poll in your e-mail to sign up for volunteering times!
10/24-26 – The Haunted Forest is a community for family fun experience of theater in the woods. It promotes the Vermont values of fun, family and community involvement. They are in need of volunteers to act at the skits as well as to guide people through the forest. The shows will be on October 24th 7-9pm, October 25th 7-10pm, and October 26th 6-10pm. Just fill out an application at their website thehauntedforest.org to let them know what you want to do and what nights!
